SICFF 2026: Celebrating Culture and Artistic Exchange

The Sri Lanka International Cultural Folk Festival (SICFF) will be organized in February 2026 under the guidance and support of IOV WORLD. The event is expected to attract over 300 spectators and participants, including foreign artist groups, along with 1,000 local artists. Approximately 200 volunteers from various organizations will collaborate with the organizing committee. The festival will feature workshops and seminars in cultural villages down south, concerts by both local and international artists at art institutions, and a grand cultural concert on 15th February 2026 at the NICD Auditorium in Polgolla. Additionally, international dance training workshops will be conducted in educational institutions, offering participants a rich and aesthetically inspiring experience.

Event Schedule - February 2026

The SICFF 2026 program begins on 13 February with the arrival of foreign artists in Katunayake, followed by travel to Kandy with sightseeing and hotel check-in. On 14 February, participants enjoy a city tour and visits to cultural sites before the 15:30 opening parade. The schedule on 15 February includes workshops, the 15:00 local artist competition, and foreign group performances at 17:00 and 18:30. On 16 February, artists visit a traditional Sri Lankan village and end the day with a gala night party by the lake. The final day, 17 February, includes a 07:00 check-out from Kandy, 11:00 check-in to Colombo, the 16:00 closing parade, and the 17:00–21:00 main show and award ceremony at Nelum Pokuna Theatre.
